We were approached by Viewtech with the task of rebranding their safety and security technology business with a progressive, contemporary identity. The goal was to position them as the leading provider in New Zealand.
We began with strategy, focusing on a long-term plan for how design could be used to achieve Viewtech’s business objectives. This involved considering their starting point and end goals and plotting a map to get there. Our design team presented a selection of carefully curated mood boards which spoke to the points addressed in the strategy. With a clear direction in mind, we presented a variety of logo, colour, font and imagery options that suited Viewtech’s goals and objectives. Working closely with Darren, we settled on a final branded logo based on an abstract concept of a ‘watchful eye’. Next we developed the brand guide, expanding the design assets further to include a suite of icons, various patterns, web and UI options. The brand guide includes examples of how the brand can be applied in the real world.
After finalising the rebrand, our marketing team met with Viewtech to develop a successful timeline to roll out the various new brand touchpoints to their existing customers and potential new audiences. This included new external and internal building signage for the showroom, a visual refresh of Viewtech’s website, new eDM and social media templates. The Mark’s rebrand for Viewtech resulted in a modern, refined and contemporary solution which elevates them above their main competitors. Viewtech now stands out in the safety and security technology industry, not only in New Zealand, but globally.
