Our task for Enterprise North Canterbury, an economic development agency in North Canterbury, was to create a new brand identity that would better reflect the organisation's mission, values, and unique offerings and then apply this to relevant touchpoints.
Our work began with conducting extensive research and gathering feedback from key stakeholders. This research enabled us to gain a deep understanding of exactly what ENC needed. From this research, we developed a new brand that would effectively communicate ENC's value proposition. The new brand identity included a new logo, colour palette, typography and brand guidelines. The new logo featured a modern, clean design that incorporated an abstract representation of the region's well known Waimakariri River, which symbolised the organisation's strong connection to the local community.
We then applied the new brand identity across all touchpoints, including the website, presentations, social media, and print materials. The new website was designed to be user-friendly and informative, with clear calls to action and easy navigation. It was designed as a useful tool where ENC could upload business supporting materials and give important information to local businesses. We also developed a new tagline, "Connect, Invest & Grow," which encapsulated the organisation's commitment to its clients' success. The new brand identity was met with positive feedback from both staff and clients. The organisation's rebranding efforts helped to reposition itself as a leader in economic development and business support in the region, and has since seen an increase in engagement and interest from both existing and potential clients.
